They're so expensive and don't have much selection. Good riddance. Fry's is an excellent alternative, hell even Best Buy is a better alternative.

i know, i have been to them before. i wish they had one here also. actually, its a good time for them to buy the CCity stores and expand.mtb0minime wrote:
Yeah it's a southwest thing. It's a massive electronics store with triple the selection of Best Buy or any other place I've been to. Has everything you need. I even built my first computer there (before I found out about newegg).
It's a shame they don't expand, or even have many stores to begin with. Probably a lot of shipping and stocking fees though.
There's a Fry's in the Chicagoland area.mtb0minime wrote:

I JUST found out that there is a Microcenter like 20 min. away from me...and their prices look REALLY good compared to Best Buy, etc.[TUF]Catbox wrote:
Microcenters are very cool... great prices and big selection(they match internet proc prices)...
There are 12 or so throughout the US... much better than Circuit Gipme... or Worst Buy...
I go in Worst Buy once in awhile for fun... I laugh at 180 dollar nvidia 7600gts or 150 dollar 1 gb of pc3200 ram... I guess people buy them...lol?
Oh, so everything cost the same as a normal price gouging store now?Scratch[USA] wrote:

Nothing is happening to the Canadian stores...yet.Ryan wrote:
What is happening to The Source? It's owned by Circuit City.
The Source sucks, so I hope it goes out too.
Fry's buys will buy a lot that has a higher than average failure rate to get a better price on the lot.usmarine wrote:
