Well, they are hardly comparable. But surely you understand Miggle was taking the comparison of BF2:SF to BF2 and then COD4 compared to the BF series altogether.

OMG YOU ARE SO PRO AT EVERYTHING YOU DO.

Err played since release, kinda learnt over the countless characters that levelling isn't a speed-race competition. You can do it in /2 days played from 1-70 if you really want to, or you can actually enjoy the game and do it at your own pace- not trying to 'prove' to anyone how unbelievably awesome you are.

If my pace is superbly fast due to my AWESOME SKILLS then I can enjoy the game in a speed race competition

OK well you're not going to set any records in the speed department, some people have about 10 level 80's and actually spend their entire playing-time objectively trying to set faster and faster speeds. To be honest the first character I ever played when Warcraft was brand new was by FAR the best- because everything was massively new, unexplored, unplayed. I enjoyed taking things at my own pace, soaking in the environments and playing the game fully. Blazing through all of the content in a race to get to endgame (which at the moment sucks, by any definition, trust me) is a bit "meh"- you're only ruining your own enjoyment.

Not exactly a cry-baby, I just don't 'get' what you're trying to prove or say in your first post. So, you can level fast in WoW after years of XP-requirement nerfs and general casual-friendly patches? Gz!

Anyways, before you gave wowfag nerds a bad name, I said "I'm playing with RL friends"

I'm playing with them to compete in pvp, which requires me to be an endgame level.

If I wanted to soak in environments and explore I'd go outside and take up hiking

What would your first post be after a day of playing? "so I started today and already I SAW TREES AND A HUT AND I KILLED A SPIDER"

thanks for trying to tell me how to enjoy the game though

not reallty the point i was trying to make
but f course cause you're playing it with "Irl friends" it makes you inherently 'cool' whereas everyone else that cannot even comprehensibly play the game with irl friends is a nerdfag. shame you're racing eagerly to the finish lkine to partake in a nerdfag activity in which you compete for arbitary nerdy pixel-prizes and virtual accolades. theres just no way you can still discern yourself above the wow-playing majority when you're immersing youself in the game. accept your stereotype and gayness or die in a fire, thou faggote who thinks there are different levels of coolness and acceptability in any form of hardcore gaming.

good luck breaking into endgame pvp, lololol. i heard arena and wellfare battleground epics are really tough thesedays. hahahahaa.
you kinda missed the boat on that one, endgame competitive pvp died circa vanilla-wow, 3 years ago.

I'm playing with "irl friends" so the point of playing is to play with them, at their higher level,  not run around marvelling at the grass textures. But if you find that cool, grats I guess.

There's a difference between "competing in pvp" and "playing wow competitively"

you seem a bit defensive about how cool I am and how nerdy you are, I'm sorry for that, maybe you'll get over it one day, maybe not, it's all good.

What the fuck is hardcore gaming?

also never type "thou faggote" you're trying too hard, it's making you look p. insecure about your social retardation

accept my stereotype? what stereotype is that?

I'm sorry that you need to throw a rage because I added what level I was to add some content to my post, or that I added the reason that I started playing

anyways shut the fuck up and get back on topic, tell me more about these epic pixels

also: fucking spell-check, your grammar is disturbing to say the least

Err yeah, I was pissed as a fart but I'm still not going to take grammar criticism from someone that cannot use punctuation properly and ends sentences in propositions- sorry, /majorfail. My point never was that there's a crime or anything wrong in the "IRL friends" part, but more so about just rushing to the endgame PvP. There's a lot more to the game than endgame PvP, and I think every person that has ever played WoW generally regards leveling their first character as one of 'the' more fun experiences of the game- in my opinion it would be a shame if you trivialised the level-train down into a tiresome chore that you've got to get through before you experience the omg-totally-kickazzz PvP (which sucks at the moment).

Nothing about admiring pixels or being a nerd, just about enjoying the process of the MMO. There's no need to rush. I said "accept the stereotype" because it just seems to me as if you're trying to treat an MMO as if it was a competitive FPS- denying all of the lore and the MMO-treadmill in order to basically partake in what is a magical 3rd person version of an FPS match. WoW is shit at this in comparison, you're missing out on a lot. It's not all about getting a boner because you "saw trees and killed a spider", but just realise that the sad matter of fact is in several months time you'll look back on the 1-80 experience with rose-tinted fondness.

Played, as in, used in past tense. To play since the games release, to a terminable degree that is no longer effectual.

Xfire profile over the last few months tells me I have played almost zero hours.

To say you have played since release implies that you have played the game since release up to now.

Otherwise you should be saying "I DID, play since release". As that implies you no longer do.

Also I would ask how you know the game is still so good considering the changes brought about by WOTLK if you haven't played it recently or still do. I recall WOTLK coming out after the start of the academic year... lol

Err, are you really going to try and argue semantics?

Or just check my Xfire profile that will safely ssh you in a way that circumvents all pedantic word-picking? 'Played' has more than one use

You try too hard Vilham, honestly. I'm all up for holding grudges and thinking you're a foul /fail of a cunt but really, you're chasing the wrong dog up the wrong tree here. I know you're butthurt about me saying Nottingham is a shit University, but whether or not I have played a game in the last 3 months is not going to change that hard fact. By saying "I do not play anymore" I mean, I do not partake in any online MMO-playing activity- yes I said I did buy WotLK and "try it out" but never made it to endgame. My character is in the early-70's and has had about 5 hours of playtime since WotLK release... which doesn't change the 'truth' of my statement, to 'play' an MMO is an entirely different matter than to 'try' new content upon introduction.

It seems to me because you've seen I play fps games competitively and you think I'm not a nerd that I'm in the closet games-wise and only play games that are deemed "cool"

Just because you jump to conclusions about people is no reason to give me abuse, I've played mmo's and fantasy games for years, if the quests under lvl 40 were more in-depth than "hey kill a bunch of goblins for me and report back" I might take more time to run around taking in the fun, otherwise i've seen it all before in too many games.

If I see something new I'll take the time to appreciate it, otherwise I'll run through it quickly.

But thanks for trying to assume I'm some kind of chav that has a quick aim and no knowledge of any other type of gaming and no appreciation for anything that doesn't involve beating someone else over the internet.

Awww does me bringing up the fact that you play WoW at uni upset you... didums

So you know everything about why WOTLK is good or not but you only played 5 hours. haha, yeah unfortunately saying one thing then saying another means one of them is a lie. Im pretty certain I know which one it is.

haha
