Why do you spell 'literature' and 'theatre' like such a moron?

It ruins your profound image.

Uzique, play nice, he's new!

Plus he's already admitted he's Canadian, take that as an upside, he could be American.

Sorry, but it's a little perplexing when someone is so circumlocutory and attempts eloquence, only to then fail at spelling the simplest of words.

For all we know he could be French speaking, or just simply not arsed about getting every word right

Apparently he's a 'modern liturature' student. Except he struggles to spell the name of his course.

Lol you're right, both of you. And "apparently" makes you sound like a jackass when I've told you I am, watch out for that. I was typing quickly because I needed to see a friend off at the subway, so forgive my minor spelling error. Oh and theater is spelt correctly, here in Canada both theater and theatre are acceptable, or at least it has been to my knowledge. This is what peturbs you on a gaming forum?

Oh and thanks for considering my prose circumlocutory, I pride myself in its proper practice. Perhaps the commas give you this impression.

'Apparently' was rather appropriately used considering the errant spelling errors. Oh and circumlocution isn't necessarily 'proper' prose - not by any standard of literature.

And yes, this is what *perturbs me, on a daily basis.

Questioning a simple statement based on a spelling mistake qualifies your use of 'apparently' as unneccisary. Also, what do minor spelling errors and the study of literature have to do with each other? Linguistics you mean? Non sequiter fallacy!

Touché on the second spelling error, although as stated prior I do believe thier use as proof of my shortcomings in the study of literature is a misstep.

P.S. I hear you like to argue for the sake of it, I think I'll enjoy my time here

EDIT: comment about prose was a joke. Swoosh, clean over your head. We all know circumlocutory writting is not 'proper', but thanks.

unneccisary? Unnecessary.
Non sequiter? Non sequitur.
thier? Their.

Are you kidding me? Spelling and grammar have nothing to do with linguistics, they are integral parts of literature. You're 'apparently' at the best arts University in Canada and you come out with statements such as the above, presented with spelling and grammar like that? I told you that circumlocution isn't a 'positive' compliment to prose-style if it obscures the meaning; when you present your posts in such a manner, with such a blatant disregard for the fundamental basics, it just makes you look like an idiot.  This isn't about arguing for the sake of it, this is about calling you out. New member or not, start out new with an honest and open approach. You're not going to fool anyone here.

Well hughmour does not run in your veins. You really had to call out uneccisary? I thought that was obvious enough.

Phonetics, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics all concern the discipline of linguistics. Clearly spelling and grammer do have something to do with linguistics. Your right, they are the integral basal units of liturature, and when I am studying liturature I adhere to them.
And you are completely correct. I cannot be bothered to worry about spelling on a forum, which obviously proves I in fact do not attend university.

See above post for response to prose comment. I didn't think I would need editing there.

I am tempted to question your own

EDIT: 'liturature' in this post is also a joke (used twice). Please refrain from attempting to discredit myself for not taking t3h intertub3z seriously.
