Today, I rewired my computer because one cable from my modular antec tpq-850w was actually useless. I had in total 6 4 Pin molex connectors when only two were needed. One now goes to the power for my HDD and DVD-R/W driver and the other has all the four fans on it.

Right after going back to windows and open up my Nvidia monitor that comes with ntune, I get a new, out of nowhere reading "Temp4" and locked at 0 degrees Celsius.

I know its harmless but its not all. I tried everest and it gave bugged temperatures (mobo at 132 C!) Then the nvidia monitor indicated a wrong CPU fan speed.

I;

Reinstalled my drivers and resetted my bios settings.

The issues seem to be gone, readings are fine but the "temp4 0 C" is still here and it goes away when I open Xfire (It also kicks my GPU in 3D mode briefly the back to 2D.)

Here a few Screen shots

With Xfire turned on, was like that before rewiring and did not need xfire on.

Without Xfire

While it might be a tiny bug, I would like to be sure....

This shit still going?

Crazy question, but are the fans working?

If there is something wrong with them, that would cause overheating, also, can one power feed support all 4 fans?

you have ntune... that is your only problem. Seriously that thing is the number 1. reason for many problems.

All fans are running, The idea to rewire came because of a loose 4 pin connection which made my upper front antec 900 fan to cease functioning.

I'm not using Ntune, I only have it installed for the such simple to use Nvidia Monitor with has all my temp/clock readings. And all this shit indeed is making me worry if I'm given bullshit information. I checked with rivatuner and the temperatures match with the GPU and also with Evga Precision. Rivatuner gave me the temp of each cpu core as opposed to Nvidia monitor with gives a more general view so I gues its normal rivatuner shows more. CPU readings in Nvidia monitor match BIOS readings.

even the fact you have it installed can cause issues... mark my words...

Nvidia System Tools is also a rebranded Ntune. Monitor is part of this "package". Id un-install it, then clean out that folder (C:\NVIDIA\System Tools\) Or similar. I don't access to my comp right now, you may have to go into a folder labeled with your OS on \NVIDIA\.

Just say no to System Tools/Ntune just like you would say no to max in a free candy van.

corrupting BIOSes, system stability issues etc...

Alright, but do you know of any app that will tell me in a easy to comprehend way, my GPU clocks / CPU / GPU temps all at the same time?

What a coincidence, I'm installing it as we speak

The CPU temperature seems to be much higher, but I'm guessing that is because its showing individual core temp right?

I didn't know RT did CPU temps

Anyhow, CoreTemp and RealTemp are awesome CPU temp programs.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

You need plugins.

Anyhow, I think this whole shit was caused by ntune since I remember loosing the network monitor too a while before. Good I got rid of it.

What is your mobo? If it is something like ASUS, you have to install their PC Probe in order for temps to display correctly. Don't know if other manuf's have that, I have only ever used ASUS.
