Yeah, i'll google some guides and report back. All i have with me are various screwdrivers, so i'll see what happens.

If you want to hang tight, PM me an address to send this MX1000 to, the only thing it did was stop charging and i wanted a new mouse anyway so i didn't try to repair. If you are lucky, you should just be able to take both mice apart and insert your battery into my MX1000 and jobs a good'un.
http://www.vk2k.com/Logitech-MX1000-Battery/That guide is useful for showing how to strip the MX1000, you won't have to piss about soldering tho if you have a genuine battery to install. Otherwise there are links there as to how to locate a replacement battery.
