Personally I have felt this way for a long time.  I really like the women in Western Canada but they guys don't party.  They just sit there.   It is a good place to get women because they get no attention or action there.

I found it strange that I knew exactly what he was talking about, but he will probably get driven down in the media for expressing his views on Canadian social retardedness.  ( I don't mean this in a mean way )

Why the fuck is this nonsense by some guy I've never even heard of in DAST, move it to the Entertainment section so you guys can talk about the blabber of some random "celebrities"

Wait, every topic decrying Canada must have this pic:

I've never been to Canada, but by most measures, it seems to be a nicer place to live when looking at education, healthcare, and crime.

The main argument against living in Canada would probably be climate (unless you're talking about Vancouver, which is gorgeous).

I have been to western canada a few times and really like it and the people.  Never been to eastern Canada but from what I have heard it scares me.  Many of the Western canadians I have been around identify with the USA more so than eastern canada.  I wish the US could trade Maine and Alaska for Western canada, but Canada would never go for it.

Eastern Canada scares you because it's not American enough like Western Canada, why am I totally completely not surprised that an American has just said this statement

Hmmm....

Well, the trade's likelihood would probably depend on how much oil Alaska has as compared to how much oil Alberta has.  Also, if you're including Saskatchewan as Western Canada, they have a very lucrative uranium trade based there.

The brightest part of Canada's future is that they have so many natural resources for such a small population.

No, it scares me because I once shared an appartment with a guy from Maine.  24 years old and watch cartoons 24/7, he was a whiney momma's boy with a terrible accent.

What a faggot, I imagine he has knocked up a 12 year old somewhere by now.

A western Canadian's priorities... beer, hockey, sex, basicaly in that order. Partying is the little stagger you take during your fall from your beer stool to the floor. If some chick wants to have sex with you after that then its all good.

Western Canada IS where the partying happens. All your speculation regarding the men's priorities, lifestyles and attitudes are gross over-generalizations that you, as Americans, are so well known for.

Canada's future is bright not only for it's resources (which you bastards bitch about getting for next to nothing to nearly every single international commission, board and council available), but also for it's economic diversity. We have nearly every single industry imaginable running well somewhere in the country; this makes us stable, malleable, and sustainable in the long run.

And you are right; no fence jumpers lol.
While I agree with most of your post, I will have to mention that our trade disputes are largely the result of the fact that your policies are quite protectionist compared to ours.

When Obama spoke of increasing our own protectionism, there was quite an uproar in Canada, but I found that to be rather hypocritical.  Canada more closely resembles Europe in its level of protectionism.

Agreed. After realizing we were screwed by Britain in our early years and later America mainly through the soft wood lumber trade and NAFTA (only parts of it which I will not delve into) we became a little but more cautious. I do not think it hypocritical to be complain about the US becoming more protectionist then before, only because the country always was. The difference came in how protection was achieved. Ours was made obvious through policy while the US tended to work behind the scenes; the underlying implications of the practices are what managed to drive the protectionist agenda.
I see where you're coming from, but when our president comes out and says he's going to increase protectionism, that doesn't seem very "behind the scenes."

New administration after 8 years brings about a change practices I suppose.

And sorry for the last two posts; I'm really hung-over and realize that more than 1/2 of those sentences make zero sense.
