Does the Audigy 2 ZS support 44.1KHz SPDIF passthrough?

Freezer? .Sup?

Any idea?

I want to listen to DTS CD tracks on my PC. They work over my DVD player, but it's a pain in the arse on PC. I've ripped them as wavs (renamed as .dts to make things simpler). I'm using WinAmp with the AC3Filter plugin. Refuses to do SPDIF passthrough, I assume due to lack of soundcard support, and crashes Winamp if I try to force it.

And then I still wouldn't be able to passthrough the bitstream over SPDIF, because it would still be at 44.1KHz.

I don't see how that'll help.

Nope. DTS audio CDs run at 44.1KHz. Makes life very difficult. My on board sound can't cope. I do have an Audigy 2 ZS lying around, which I pulled out if this system when I 1st put Vista on it, because of the Creative audio driver issues. Now that there are proper drivers available, I was considering giving it another go - but it's a lot of hassle, I'd have to find it 1st, which could take ages - so I don't want do bother if it won't work.

it does Bert I have Audigy 2 ZS but the problem is how to pass the signal a DVD player. I have tried dozens of cables and nothing worked well. The only thing that worked is: 1/8 mono stereo male plug > RCA (coaxial) > external D/A player but bass was kind of odd. Creative sells an spdif adapter but this card is not listed as a supported card.

Great!

I have all those adapters lying around. I'll experiment with that. Thanks very much!

Do you need to use bit accurate mode for it or something?

I think the X-Fi upscales it by default.
