I am currently in the market for a ~ 2000 DKK netbook and looking at the following, but they all seem to have their own lacks/flaws.
Acer Aspire One @ 2000 DKK
- No Bluetooth
- Ram upgrade is VERY difficult
- Only 8,9" display as opposed to the ~10" of the other two
+ Cheapest of the 3
MSI Wind U120 @ 2300 DKK
- No SO-DIMM slot for ram upgrades
+ Wireless N (draft)
+ Good price
++ 6cell battery
Lenovo Ideapad S10e @ 2000-3000 DKK
+ Best looks
+ 2 Year warranty as opposed to the standard 1 year of the others
+ Easily upgradeable (wireless card, ram, harddrive & even a PCMCIA slot for unlimited connectivity options or cheap SSD's)
- 1024x576 native resolution causing compability issues with some software
- Idiotically changing prices (1999 at sale in a store where i went only to be told "we don't have them right now, even though they are in our catalogue for this week", I mean, WTF... Now I can't find one on the web below 3000DKK and I can get one WITH a 3g modem for 2800 in a store that is usually expensive X_x) (btw 3G modems usually mean a +800 DKK price tag )
Currently I actually prefer the Lenovo, had the MSI had upgradeable ram it would be my obvious winner, but tbh I very much doubt the Build quality of the MSI aswell... and the 2 year warranty of the lenovo is a big + aswell... now I just hope the stupid store sorts their offers up, they had shown in a leaflet that they had a "s10" but below were listed the specs of the s10e, and prices on the S10e are BONKed here in Denmark atm
I am planning on putting a Kingston KHX5300S2LLK2/2G (HyperX) memory module into whichever notebook I choose, I want to run windows 7 on it with Aero enabled, so >1Gb is a must.
