Hey guys
I finally got my new graphic card. It's an ASUS GTX260 core 216. I have a 550w PSU which is the minimum so I thought it would be okay. But whenever I play a game the temperature skyrockets to around 100°C and I don't know why. Wouldn't the fan on the card be sufficient enough to cool it? It wouldn't make sense not to.
Anyway so now my PC will shut off. I'll be playing and suddenly the computer will stop as if the power went out. This only happens when I'm playing games, with the exception of L4D which seems to be working fine. So anyway I keep my case open and have a big fan blowing in there, thinking the PC automatically shuts off to protect itself from the heat. Now it only goes to a max of 86°C but that's only if I'm really killing it (Crysis). So since the heating isn't an issue all I can think of is the PSU. I the minimum supply. Why won't it work?
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance!
