so let me visualize your post :
I'm a college kid ( well I was because now I can't afford the tuition and my parents can't help out either ) I live in a run down piss poor apartment bc renting is higher then a mortgage payment, I have shit car parked outside running 4 balled tires, overheats and the transmission is slipping, the inside of apartment has a futon - a cement block entertainment center with a tv from '87 - a vhs/dvd combo - a wire spool for a dinner table
but Hey I don't have to worry about those evil credit card companies or banks because I'm saving every week on top of paying a monthly renting fee, gas, food, car insurance, utility bills, clothing, entertainment
Look at what you said: "on top of paying a monthly renting fee, gas, food, car insurance, utility bills, clothing, entertainment"... now you change rent to house payment, add car payment and credit card balance every month so how are you going to find the money for all that? It looks you're screwed either way. Don't worry about saving 'cause banks and credit card companies will make sure you do, they'll suck you dry.
well lets see here ............. I live in a house that is building equity ..... you don't build equity in a rental ..... the exact same house payment I make, would cover a rental fee for a place half the size of what I'm in ......... half
I drive a '06 truck with a 10 year/ 100,000 mile warranty .... its paid off
after your used high high mileage car gets worked on for a starter, alternator, transmission, timing belt, radiator, fuel pump
between mine and ours which is going to need repairs first
all this and I still save ....... nice house, nice truck, wife has a nice suv ................ and my bank actually gives me money and not just the interest I make off my savings account but it gives me money just for being with them .... monthly
have fun in your rental, enjoy riding in your very very used car ( well when its riding and not in the shop ) ............... and how does that college diploma look on the wall ..... oops nevermind ... couldn't afford that tution, I understand
