Actually it's not just NASA that are doing everything anyway. Things have changed. Space agencies around the world work closer together than you think. This mission wasn't just for the moon base, I was just giving some perspective on the long term goals for it all. Stuff like this is important for loads of reasons.

Maybe for this mission. But a recent example would be recently when they confirmed that
water exists on the moon. That was a joint NASA/
ISRO mission.

Yeah for this specific moon blast mission it was probably all NASA. But it's not just NASA that is doing everything in general.
But they are doing the most, seeing as it's probably the richest space agency out of them all and the one with the most experience.
