Yes, but if you've read the original Bourne books, he becomes David Webb at the end of the first book again, too. Then in the second book he is forced to return as the real Jason Bourne and hunt down a copy-cat Jason Bourne that is operating in southeast Asia (where the original Jason Bourne was created after Webb's wife and child were killed during the Vietnam War), namely Macao in the second book. Not read the third one, yet ... But so you see - David Webb can always become Jason Bourne again.baggs wrote:

There have been a couple extra Bourne books that are based off the Ludlum books. I've not read them, just the little descriptions on the backs of em at the store...burnzz wrote:

Yea, but the events in the film are also radically different from the events in the movie. The only real similarities are the names of characters. Everything else is totally different. Like Matt said in the interview there that was posted on IMDB, if the script is right, then the movie will be good and it won't matter.baggs wrote:

That's why with the Bourne movies, you can't say "the book was better", because they're so dissimilar and you can't compare them. One reason why I love the Bourne movies so much.
