Yeah but Buses are are just that, a bus, they stop at every Bus stop. Which means if you want to travel any sort of distance it takes AGES. And they smell, and usually have either a drug addict or an Alcoholic on.

the supra is cheaper, bigger engine etc, but the S15 is newer and... in some ways nicer

Because german cars have no SOUL. They're often very good cars, but they're just cars. No spirit. Not like an absolutely crazy italian supercar, or an old british car that keeps breaking down, or an american muscle car that goes VROOOOAR when you put your foot down.
You press the gas, it goes forwards. No terrible understeer or oversteer, brakes that stop the car, and a LOT of excess weight.

And jord, that's why they invented express bus lines. When traffic is light they're great (they stop at fewer stops). There's also bus rapid transit which involves building or designating special lanes only for buses, even going as far as separate traffic lights for buses.
