How much does your average water cooling system cost? Like, maybe a "beginner's kit"?
well in canadian:
triple rad: $54
double rad: $47 <---- I recommend getting a fat boy double rad, the triple rad is a space hog, and is far less versatile, woulda went with a double if I didnt already have a triple.
pump: MCP655 $72 - MCP355 - $68 pump tops: 665- $40 355 - $38 (the 355 is more versatile but less powerful, very good if you have 2 seperate loops)
Reservoir: $15-70 depending on what you want, so may different versions available
Cpu block: $55
Gpu water block: $107
tubing: $18
fittings: compression (pair) - $10 Barb/hose clamp (pair) $4/$1.50
distilled water w/ additive: $10
So min $350 for a dual rad, cpu, gpu full coverage, res, 355 w/o top. you could take $50 off by using a universal gpu block.
What I did though, was keep an eye on sales and pick up one piece at a time as it went on sale, over a few months. A radiator and pump will last pretty much forever and wont become obsolete so get those first, cause you my switch your build up in the amount of time it takes to get it all.
really important: you need to plan it out well, and select a case that will work well with it. If you want to do it, it takes alot more work and care than simply slapping on a aftermarket air cooler, and only benifits in silence, and if you OC, and from a hobbyists point of veiw. Its expensive to get initially, but you can flip your res/rad/pump/cpu block through multiple pcs. The cpu block only if you can get adapter plates for it.
you can also get stuff like this to, but I prefer to make up a more specific one to my needs for ~10% more.
