I'm just testing the water at the moment but what gaming laptops would you recomend? I'm looking for a gaming laptop so I don't care about portability and batt life (be plugged in 24/7)

I played on a Dell XPS at lan, it was pretty good, ran battlefield nicely. my only complaint was the laptop keyboard but I guess thats unavoidable with laptops.
Where would you put your mouse though bro?

I agree, gaming laptops are kinda fail... but Dell XPS/Alienware are good bets. I would only recommend it if you travel, but you say plugged in 24/7 so im assuming this will be home use? Why not get a desktop? you will get an amazing desktop for the price of your average gaming lappy.

I have an XPS. Do not buy. The aluminum face plate is literally corroding where my hands rest on it. I guess I have overly acidic sweat...or their designers are retarded. Oh, and I don't game anymore- it's entirely from looking at Microsoft Word day in-and-out and the massive amounts of stress accompanied by sweat that produces. Build quality= shit.

I can understand the desire for gaming whilst in the hospital having spent enough time in them myself.
Regardless of his health a gaming laptop STILL SUCKS. The only mobile card comparable to his desktop is the 280M. Such a laptop will be very expensive. If price is not an issue then a good 280M system from a reputable manufacturer is the only way to go. Hopefully you won't have issues with it.
