Red Robin = delicious semi-healthy burgers !
McDonalds can go to hell along with Burger King. The only fast food burger I'll ever get is Fat Burger (Despite their name, they're extremely healthy and fresh) and In 'n Out.
Not sure I trust it tbh...

and i love that it has more than half the amount of sodium that is recommended for the whole day in that one little "sandwich".

I physically twitched when I saw it.
That just means you can buy two! And since all those 'recommended dosage' things are bullshit, I'm sure you can safely eat four of them.tuckergustav wrote:

THE CLOGGER!
THE CLOGGER!

When we heard about the Double Down back in August, my buddies and I made our own using Tyson chicken strips.

While the idea sounded delicious, I was initially very skeptical of actually trying our homebrew version.

It was actually quite good, and we decided at this point that we should find one of the KFCs selling the Double Down during the test period.
Our chance came in early September, when we launched a road trip to drive the Ecto from Denver to New York, then down to DC, Atlanta, and back home. Instead of taking I-70 like a normal person, we took I-80 clear north through Iowa, so we could grab a Double Down in Omaha, NE.
We found a KFC that was advertising the Double Down, and we were in.

They were really goddamn expensive, something like $6, but goddamn were we ready.

The verdict was that they weren't as good as our homemade Tyson double downs. The KFC sandwich was really really greasy, to the point of burning yourself when it dripped (because you don't have a BUN), and the insides weren't as good as the bacon/cheese we had at home. I think we went through like ten napkins each.
It was a funny little adventure, but wasn't really worth the 300-mile detour. I'll take a fattymelt (burger with grilled cheese sandwiches for buns) over a Double Down any day!

I don't call that proper food.
Of course a burger can be proper food. It just depends how they make it and if they're using proper ingredients.
Nope.ghettoperson wrote:

Burger King do a wagyu beef burger with truffles cooked in Cristal - those are very proper ingredients. Yet Burger King is far from being a proper restaurant.
GBK is a franchised chain selling burgers. The only real difference I see between that and KFC is quality.
It's not even like KFC is really cheaper - two burgers and "chips" for £10 is on a par with KFC prices.
