Stud's commentary helps my opinion quite a bit since I didn't know many details about the suits - at least you do have something significant to work with there. Of course I knew that some things can be done well as Sniper as most humans can solve even very difficult puzzles with ideas, time and some skill.
I do agree that vegetation and especially shadows can use some more cpu. But even in the short time I've played I've seen too many nooks and crannies on the ground that could be used with good effect by the Sniper, but were made unaccessible by the game. A sniper relies on cover - the more choices in positions, the better. As for camping, well, that is the Sniper's job! And no matter how many nooks and crannies there are for the Sniper (or any other class) to hide in, the soldier will always be found, eventually, especially if they are causing a great deal of damage to the opposing team. That is just how I see it; I'm certainly no pro at this game.
Even with all that my greatest concern was with the starting weapons. But since I've been looking into this it appears to me that there are hitbox problems in the game, which could be more than significant. There are so many reports of Sniper rifle bullets and knives (and possibly other weapons?) not hitting their mark when they should have. If hitboxes are offset, this can also result in team kills and damage.
So far I feel quite a bit of empathy for the Sniper and for the Engineer, who seem to have some coding rules that curse them as a class, at least in the beginning.
