hi menzo how was armin van buuren?
something in the area of modernity/modernism
as artistic areas, as philosophical movements, as literary/visual/architectural/musical trends, etc.
basically literature from late-19th to mid-20th century and lots of philosophy and sociology and other disciplines involved
gives me a boner thinking about it

Boston is about a six hour car ride away. I don't know if you consider that close.
I don't know what your plan is for grad school but my dream is to get into the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago for my MBA.

Two choices in my field. I can either go with a business degree and head into the corporate branch or I can go with a masters in my profession (electrical engineering) and move over to the R&D side. The corporate side has a lot more to offer monetarily.Kimmmmmmmmmmmm wrote:

UoC because most of the economics books that I devour come from their presses and I would love to learn from them.

in the back of my mind there's always the sneaking suspicion that i'll end up either fulfilling my academic interests and getting a PhD part-time by 30, or will otherwise follow my dad's side of the family and wind up doing some sort of law conversion course or MBA as a part-time study with early corporate work. depends really on how much i can stay interested in intellectual ideas and how long i can stave off the get-money vibes
