I liked Oahu once we got away from Honolulu. I hate congestion. It isn't relaxing and it didn't feel very "islandy". We spent 2 out of 3 weeks on the Big Island and I loved it. I loved that you could drive a couple hours and get from rainforest to desert to green fields that looked like we could be in Montana. and then in the winter you can drive up to get snow.
