floppy they can't give that footage because they don't have it. they're just cashing in on eager-pc gamer's hype and nostalgic enthusiasm. i'm very reserved about this game. i think it's just going to be a 64-player bad company 2. i cannot see how they can return the 'feel' of BF2 when reusing the BC2 engine and basic framework.

They are ugly, take up space, sure, but they look like that IRL. Red-dots like the ones in the COD4 mp were better... true..

tbh i think we should lose the whole "IRL" realism litmus test... seeing as the predecessor that you guys all worship so much involved flying 4 near-supersonic fighter jets around a map the size of a celebrity private-island in the pacific... just drop it. the sights look shit and it's a style taken from the modern warfare call of duty games. battlefield could do without the gay shit.

I don't want realism.. but do you honestly think DICE would start inventing weapons & vehicles for this like they did for 2142?

- get smoke perk for choppers, other choppers can shoot you down just as fast

Im not going to say that it will suck nor will I say that it will be good. I haven't really seen anything yet, but I fear that with the massive amount of console players (I'm talking about 12-year-old CoD players) wil have too big on an influence on the game. Unless of course they say: Fuck consoles. And decide to make a great PC game that also happens to be ported to consoles (or not, i dont care)

What could help you against other choppers?

Smoke/Countermeasures is pretty much the only one I use since without it, 1 tracer = death

They need to leave perks and all other unrealistic forms of customization out of it. People have been spoiled by such things thanks to CoD. FPSs were much better when the game gave you a few set classes and you made due. A few differents scopes and weapon attachements, sure, but no perks and that kind of bullshit, especially not on vehicles

they won't. you guys are thinking it's going to be the return of PC gaming but it's not. they're making it for consoles too. i can bet the only bonus we'll get as PC players will be 64-player map/server sizes and perhaps better graphics potential. and i'm willing to bet the 64-player shit will suck dick because it'll be a poor upscaling of technology and gameplay designed for the console crowd.

I wonder how will they handle the maps between PC and consoles. If they have the same maps then PC will be fucking awful on 64 player servers on maps that are made for 24 players or if the maps are larger console players will have hard time finding anyone.

I wouldn't say that the games I bought sucked dick. I always play most of those allegedly next big things for a good amount of time (games like MW2 and blops etc) and I have fun with them, but I havent got to play a truly groundbreaking game or a something new and refreshing thats also good like HL2 or BF2

tbh I was seeing those sights in mods for BF2, before I saw them in CoD4/other games, so it isn't that odd for me.

but yes I say we take the realism path with attachments and use sights actually used by the US Military and it's enemies...

the one on the M4 in BF2/CoD4 (Aimpoint), and the ACOG should be the only 2 options, maybe an Kobra for enemehs
