You do know you can read books after college as well right? And you can take part in philosophy discussions outside of college as well....Uzique wrote:
well of course! where else are you going to have intelligent/meaningful conversations if not in college? high-school? no. at the office, over the watercooler? no. on holiday, on the beach? where if not college? think about what you're saying...
cybargs, the thing is that english majors don't analyse poetry for the rest of their lives. 90% crossover into perfectly ordinary business career-paths. plus there's always law or business school after the undergraduate degree. you can quote all the dumb internet memes you like at me but the fact is i had 3 years being intellectually stimulated by philosophy and being entertained by incredible works of art, whilst you're brushing up on 'australias european context'. anyone with a brain can learn the business a-b-c after graduating, it's not some super-difficult code that nobody can get unless OMG you take modules in it at university. why do you think so many international student mongs come to westernised universities to take business-type subjects? cause they're so intellectually demanding? lol.
Oh boy here we go...bennisboy wrote:

well yeah, obviously, but that's not my argument is it? my argument is that my degree was fun and i have the rest of my life to get into business. not that you can only read good books at university. lol. maybe you should work on reading comprehension yourself.bennisboy wrote:

In fact you can learn anything outside of college if you want to. You're argument here is not the best you've ever made
It sucks that people have to pay through the nose just to take a class that isn't part of their degree but just generally interest them. Colleges over here rape you even if you aren't a degree seeking student and just want to sit in and learn about whatever a lecture is on.well of course! where else are you going to have intelligent/meaningful conversations if not in college?

No matter what grade I got or how tough the class was I always had respect for the professors that went out of their way to mention how anyone who isn't registered for the class could still come in and listen to the lecture if it interested them.

lol yeah okay mate, I don't see how you can say what degrees everyone else is entitled to enjoy, although your ego does lead you to think you can, so carry on my good sirUzique wrote:

ooh, lets use a film by a frenchman as an arbiter of norms in russian society...or we could use a simple google search and see that real russians say it is a predominately masculine name. its just like kelsey or leslie - they can be used for both genders but are primarily feminine names.
