It sucks that people have to pay through the nose just to take a class that isn't part of their degree but just generally interest them. Colleges over here rape you even if you aren't a degree seeking student and just want to sit in and learn about whatever a lecture is on.well of course! where else are you going to have intelligent/meaningful conversations if not in college?
No matter what grade I got or how tough the class was I always had respect for the professors that went out of their way to mention how anyone who isn't registered for the class could still come in and listen to the lecture if it interested them.
