When you reload the AK-101, the guy just takes out the clip, turns it UPSIDE DOWN and puts it back in again!

WHY?

Is there some reason for it or are EA just taking the piss?

(Yes, I did search. Yes, I know its not important and Yes, I'm bored)

1) Because it's a reload animation

2) Because two clips are taped together.

What's silly is that the two clips seem to hold enough ammo for worth of 4 clips and have an advanced "auto-stop" feature to stop firing after 30 rounds are shot off.

And he keeps flipping it over and over and over again.

What you don't know is, while you're running around with the AK-101, the soldier's actually reloading the empty upside-down mag, bullet by bullet.  There's no other explanation for it, other than EA sucks, and it couldn't be that, right?

......maybe the AK has un-natrual powers and refills itself when turned upside down?

Don't guns stop firing when they run out of bullets??

And unlike in the movies, you get one more click out of a gun after it's out of bullets before you have to cock the hammer again. It doesn't go "click click click click."

What kills me too is that you're kinda screwed out of a bullet.  When you eject a magazine mid way through it, you still have a bullet in the chamber, when you reload the AK-101 for example mid-mag, you should still have one round left, leaving you 31 rounds.  Also another thing thats funny about the M-16 is the fact when the magazine runs out (M4 and M16 alike) the charging handle sticks to the rear, and all you have to do is insert a magazine, and hit a button on the side and it slides the hammer forward, unlike the animation that shows him pulling the charging handle back every time.  Also at the end of the M4/M16 animations the Marine hits whats called a "forward assist", anyone who is military or prior military would notice that, the forward assist is for jams in the weapon, if a round gets snagged in the chamber, you can slap the holy hell out of the forward assist and it sometimes knocks the round in the chamber, as for the AK-101/47/74U, I couldnt tell you because I have only fired them once, I am not sure if they have the same action or not.  Just a little ramble information thought some of you may find an interesting read.  Thanks!

P.S.  On the EA website that talks about the bullet the M-16 uses, it says it uses a .223 round, this is untrue, even on this site its correct.  It fires a 5.56 bullet, which in game i still believe its terribly underpowered.  The .223 round is only used for training purposes.

Has anybody tried staying idle with the PP19? The MEC guy eventually pulls the mag out and throws it around then puts it back in. Has anyone tried shooting while he's swinging the mag? It'll be like swinging it, then mysterious fly back into the PP19 to fire at a group of soldiers u just suddenly spotted.

I've noticed that and it bugs me too. Because if you reload without having run out of bullets, all you have to do is pull the mag out, put the new mag in - DONE.

As for the .223, it must be civilian mistake (which I just made). I thought .223" was the english equivalent to 5.56 mm and that the only difference between the commercially available .223" and the 5.56 x XX mm was the length of the bullet and/or powder charge.

I also agree that the M16 (and the M4, which should theoretically have basically the same power as the M16 considering it fires the same bullet out of a shorter barrel) is under powered. For me they can leave it as it is, as long as they added some sort of impact effect so the person you're shooting at would lose their aim. It's so incredibly annoying to hit someone with a 3 round burst only to have them instantly open fire and kill you.

btw , speacking about "real" : infantry dont uses AK-74U as carbine , it is only choper\tank crew pdw . Airborne & special ops uses AK-74S ( with folding butt )and new mods like AK-103 , AK-109 etc .

Um...just so y'all know the .223 and 5.56mm are the same...it's .223 Remington which Nato has renamed 5.56 mm, technically it's a 5.56x45 mm 5.56 being the diameter of the bullet and 45 being the length of the cartridge...it's the same way with the .308...it's a .30 inch diameter bullet but Nato has it redesignated 7.62x51...so summing up a .223 and a 5.56 are the same round, no difference and are entirely interchangable...ammuntion designations can get tricky I know but I've been reloading my own ammuntion for a few years now and have a good grasp on the lingo...and yes the reload animations are kinda amusing...but hey...it's just a game right?

The 5.56x45 NATO and .223 SAAMI have similar exterior dimensions, but on the interior, the 5.56 NATO has thicker walls near the neck. Allows the usage of higher pressures. 5.56 NATO is reccomended only to be fired out of 5.56 NATO spec chambers. .223 can be safely fired from either.

7.62x51 NATO and .308 Win. are completely opposite to the comparison between the 5.56 and .223.

Modern .308 loads "sometimes" have higher pressures than the NATO spec. .308 Winchester has an upper limit of nearly 10,000 PSI more than the upper limit of a 7.62x51 NATO. HARDLY similar considering that is nearly 20% of the 7.62x51's total max chamber pressure. So I would dare to suggest that you read your reloading manual a bit more carefully before making claims like that.
