Frankly, he was making a vulgar commentary on how some women looking for an easy life will whore themselves out. Do you think Melania loves him for his personality or his money? This is just the consequence of mothers telling their daughters to marry rich.

Cam girl, stripper, prostitute, gold digging wife, it's all the same.

Did we listen to the same audio clip? He is talking about groping women and forcing himself on them. The only woman mentioned was a married millionaire who rejected him.

He was saying that because he's a celebrity he can do whatever he wants with women. Why would he say something like that? Because there are a lot of useless women in this world who will put up with him groping them because they hope he'll make their life easier. He happened to run into one that wouldn't put up with it. When I read what he said, I think of groupies. You'd hear the same words coming out of Mick Jaggers mouth.

I don't remember Mick Jagger running for prime minister. I expect our leaders to have more class than you possess.

You seem to have issues with women. Why are you angry at women?

The only type of woman that I don't respect are the types that throw themselves at wealthy men. My wife grew up at a country club and the mothers always used to tell their daughters to marry rich so that they themselves could have the cushy work-free life that they had. She married me instead, and we're happy. I don't respect the idle rich who have inherited, and I don't respect the type of person that seeks the lifestyle without working for it. The get-rich-quick types in our society are a burden, and we're rife with them.

Neither. I'm proud of my mom. She worked her butt off to raise me. Most children with working mothers expect their spouse to work as well. Look it up.

I'm not attacking you, there was a trend a while back in the UK for nice middle-upper class girls to pick up with deadbeats and then spend their lives raising their multi-coloured collection of kids on the dole as single mums.
I knew a very nice girl from a rich family who turned down a decent investment banker for brief relationship with an unemployed dreadlocked loser. Her half sister got herself pregnant with the sous-chef at the local Dominos.
It was the only act of rebellion they could commit I guess, parading the blokes they weren't going to marry in front of their parents and then running off and wasting their lives, or some adoption of the hipster counter-culture.

That doesn't apply to me at all. I make good money as an engineer, I'm just not a wall street broker making half a mil a year like the mothers I mentioned encouraged their daughters to find. I mean nevermind the rampant alcoholism, the infidelity, the emotional insecurity, and the fact that their husbands put zero effort into their children, it's a great life shopping, getting your nails done and gossiping all day. And one day, when your husband inevitably trades you in for a newer model, you get half of his cash, and a lonely second half of your life.

Does rape culture really apply in this situation? I don't think so. The mans entire adult life he's had women throwing themselves at him because they want a piece of his bank account. Can you really blame him for becoming an entitled asshole? Bloomberg made similar remarks about a decade ago, about how great it is to be a single, straight male billionaire in New York and how much ass he pulls in. The women aren't the victims in this situation, there really aren't any victims. Both sides are predatory.

He literally bragged about committing sexual assault. The whole conversation started because he was upset a married woman he groped didn't like it. This has nothing to do with gold digging women. Especially since the woman at the center of this is a millionaire herself.

I was just saying I've seen the other end of the spectrum, women throwing themselves at vagrants so mummy has to double her Prozac dose and having a lonely and poor rest of their lives.

As for Trump, he's a nasty piece of work. It would be easy enough for him to say he has a nice life, boasting about assaulting women and being able to get away with murder if he wanted is a bit different.

I think Jay is assuming that Trump was talking about groupies. He's not. Certainly not in this case given he was taking about a married woman who clearly wasn't interested in him. I assure you, women by and large wouldn't throw themselves at Trump. There's the odd Malania or cheap skank that may want to see what they want to get out of him but these would be in the minority. The thing is that he has a status where any woman - or any subordinate - is going to want to be polite, to appease him. That doesn't mean they desire him any more than the cashier who smiled at me today was mentally undressing me.

To Trump every attractive woman he sees is a groupie there for him to fondle. Every polite gesture or signal that could be interpreted as flirtatious is enough to give him licence to have his way. They don't object because that's the culture we have; rich and famous men can do what they want, women subjected to their behaviour either find it too awkward or too dangerous to object. And with good reason. It can ruin careers, ruin lives and sadly there is a culture that is more likely to express disbelief than condemnation. How many women had to come forward before everyone worked out that maybe Bill Cosby wasn't exactly lovable old Dr. Huxtable?

This situation only makes someone like Trump think he can continue doing what he wants. And Trump, as unhinged as he is, thinks he's desirable to women rather than repulsive because women don't object.

Trump is the personification of this ugliness in society that we all know is there but seem too ashamed to admit to. That's perhaps why there are so many confused individuals trying to suggest what Trump expressed was normal. And while there is a certain degree of normalcy that rich white men can essentially treat women like pieces of meat that does not mean it is normal behaviour and it certainly doesn't mean it's acceptable. Men can be crass, they can objectify women, tell lewd stories and jokes - sure. But being so blase about committing sexual assault? Even the bro-est dudebros I know wouldn't go that far. And even if they did, they aren't running for President of the US.

Trump is toast. Orange toast. His army of Trumpettes may try to excuse or justify him or insist that Hillary-through-Bill is worse or even claim it's all just a big establishment plot to get rid of a candidate they don't like. Trump will get their votes and he'll get the votes of people who'll vote for whoever the Republicans cough up but ultimately I have enough respect for Americans that they know the difference between a far-from-ideal candidate and an absolute dumpster fire.

Wasn't impressed by that pre-debate stunt. That was desperate. Especially in regard to Trump's use, (and he was using those women,) of the woman Kathy Shelton who's beef with Clinton was that she apparently represented her rapist back in the 70s. I mean the story behind that is that Clinton was the court-appointed attorney for the man accused of rape and she got him to plead guilty - partly because the victim's parents didn't want their daughter to go through the trauma of a trial.

The conspiracy theorists tell it another way. Firstly they say she got him off - she didn't as he pleaded guilty. Secondly they try to suggest there was something wrong with the fact she gave him a defence - something required under the 6th Amendment. Thirdly they present arguments from Clinton that she never made, namely that she suggested the victim made up the story. And fourthly they condemn her for chuckling over "getting a guilty guy off" despite the audio of an interview presented to back this up containing nothing even remotely close to that. And why would it when the guy didn't get off?

The other thing that bothers me is that when sought out in 2005 the victim, then speaking under anonymity, said she had no ill will towards Clinton. Yet in 2016 this woman Shelton identifies herself as the 12 year old in the case and claims she now can't forgive Clinton for what she did. She also claims that for many years she wasn't aware Clinton was the woman who defended her rapist. It doesn't add up and my bullshit detector is going off. Maybe Shelton is the girl, maybe she isn't. But if she is why has she now decided to come forward and change her story? My only conclusion is that, whether or not Shelton is who she says she is, money exchanged hands. Pay-for-slander. But in any case, nothing Clinton did was actually wrong anyway.

Just a fucked up minor detail in a completely fucked up saga. I mean I'm not even going to go into why it is appropriate for Trump of all people to try and use allegations of sexual misconduct by Bill to attack Hillary.
