A bunch of my friends went to the woman's march. 2 out of 6 were female. Those damn radical feminists.

Is Trump going to declare martial law less than a week into his Presidency?
If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.
Good luck my US friends. This will be a hell of a ride for 4 years.

If he meant federal law-enforcement authorities rather than federal troops, the law enforcement agencies administered by the Department of Justice include:
United States Marshal Service.
Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.
Drug Enforcement Administration.
Office of Inspector General.
Which of those would he actually be referring to? He's going to send in the FBI? lol

Trump ordered certain national park services to halt Twitter operations after they posted the picture of the two inaugurations. Is this how the censorship starts?

Hmm maybe 'woman's march' is a misnomer, it should be 'stupid angry hipster's march'KEN-JENNINGS wrote:

The more I look at this Trump comedy, the more I think that he's a scapegoat specifically prepared to take blame for something radical planned for USA by the part of their elite that put him in The White House. Something that, in their opinion, cannot be put off any longer but is impossible to sell to the public as necessary and unavoidable.
if you open your mind too much your brain will fall out.

Maybe the Trump regime will fall and the U.S. gets an authoritarian left wing government for awhile. What we need is a man of steel to force healthcare and free college education on poor republicans.
You're right, they probably shouldn't. They should stick to national park-ing and the single employees should vote how they see fit.Jay wrote:

That being said, why does the president get a say in what they post on their twitter? If their boss doesn't like it, and it's 'work' related, fire them and the world should continue to spin. The president shouldn't get to decide what every single US department, large and small, says on their twitter. That's dipping into fascism territory.
Right, but all government agencies have been moving that way for decades. Here's an open letter to Obama complaining about all communications being directed through PR:pirana6 wrote:

Our government agencies are supposed to be apolitical. It's the primary reason they have jobs for life, it's supposed to be a professional service that rises above politics.

what happens if, for e.g., scientific agencies or national parks want to share their research findings w/r/t global warming, which does not tally with trump's team's PR message about global warming?Jay wrote:

I imagine the research will still be published. I dunno. My point was that what trump's admin did wasn't out of the ordinary. The national park twitter account was in the wrong.uziq wrote:

It is interesting that there are so many poor Americans who vote republican and hate the idea of government assistance. Even if their lives depended on it like it does with the ACA.
What do we do with these people? I believe in helping all of God's creatures including these people. At some point I wonder if we should just let them literally kill themselves off. Like I spent the last 8 years advocating education and healthcare for these people but it is obvious they don't want to help themselves.

do you realise how crazy this territory is?
It is stupid no doubt about that. But the department secretaries report to the president. There is nothing illegal about the WH gagging them.
Trump is the Republican's wet dream in that he will do all the radical things they secretly want to do and if anything goes wrong they can blame his madness and that he's not even a real Republican to begin with.uziq wrote:

Then some stern old-schooler like Boehner can sweep in and leave all the extreme stuff exactly as Trump left it.

what if they want to publicize road closures? Park closures? Wildfire notices? It is the definition of stupiduziq wrote:
