it's a washer-dryer, and yeah i know you have to spend a fair wedge to get one that doesn't suck terribly.
a $1000 bucks for 8 poxy litres of capacity should be good enough. i have more faith in japanese tech companies than korean ones anyway (do not get a samsung fridge or washer, trust me).
Houses here generally exhaust the damp air into the room then extract it by a wall-fan, ducting it outside is nearly unheard of.
yeah, i had my mould damp problem during a very humid korean summer spent in a distinctly 1980s building in the military sector of seoul. one of those 'shabby chic ex-industrial neighbourhoods' where all the amenities and conveniences were very improvised. who knew that crappy buildings built to house GIs 50 years ago wouldn't appoint the best laundry rooms?
everything in my new place seems extremely well thought out in regards to sunlight, moisture, ventilation, etc. numerous small panels on the wall of every room that can be depressed/popped out with little computer case fan-style things in them to ventilate the room.
