Methinks that is what it's about, ground pounders have been bombed, strafed, rocketed, gunned down, and TV-missiled so many times that they(we?) want revenge, even if it's just one plane that will respawn in a minute. It just feels good.

It could be like anti-tank but with only 2 missiles or something. I KNOW that they exist. Look up FIM-92 Stinger on google. They could be nerfed so they don't do much damage to land vehicles. Air vehicles are meant to dominate, that is why humans have spent so much time creating them.
I disagree also. BF2 does not need an AA-Class. That would definately make flying impossible. On certain maps there are already way too many STINGER sites as it is. With the improvement on the LOCK on planes/Helo it is almost too much.

Well, if you want to go there,
A Stinger is meant to bring down an aircraft with a high hit-rate (think 1.2) with one shot.
A Sidewinder (F-35, F-18, and F-15) or Sea Sparrow (Essex) missile is meant to also kill with one shot with a high accuracy at medium-range - a few miles, larger than most, if not all, BF2 maps.
An IGLA is meant to do the same thing as the Stinger.

I would prefer if the commander of the team could choose where to put the AA/TOW's, I don't know of any map where the AA or TOW is in a good place, they always have it right in front of a big wall or make it hit the sandbags if it goes too low...

It's a good idea Think about it when that MEC chopper On sharqi is spawn raping like mad its better defence then been a sitting duck in aa. I think they should add it ppl who dont want it added are chopper whores.
