would be nice to have more distance, its just amazing I have my distance to 100% and some of these guys still manage to shoot me even though there is no way I can see them! I see the muzzle flash through the fog, but how can they shoot me if I cant even see them? I know the UAV isnt that good.
Dude.. learn what sniping is about. Yeah, there are people out there with a nofog hack... But they're still few and far between. In genral, on maps where the fog lowers your viewing distance, you have to be aware that you WILL get spotted easier if you:
1) Stick out in the skyline
2) Fire your weapon
3) Move
4) Cross a guys preripheral vision
So learn to snipe:
1) Do NOT go for the high ground. high ground is for whimps and pussies. You get spotted easier, and you get taken DOWN real fast if the enemy team has a decent sniper.
2) DO NOT SHOOT unless you have to. Either to kill the enemy or to defend your own life. Move IMMEDIATELY after shooting, because you WILL expose yourself, even more so on night maps and foggy maps. And twice as much if you didn't listen to #1.
3) DO NOT run to your next position and then throw yourself at the ground and think you're safe. Move to a SAFE location, then secure the immediate area, THEN slowly get to your next sniping position as stealthily as possible. Once there only stick out your neck to shoot. Then follow rule #2
4) Use your peripheral vision. The gaming engine is like so many others. for some reason that I will not get into details with, you CAN see further with your periphiral vision, so move your head a lot to spot for enemies beyond your normal view distance.
This should take care of your immediate needs when it comes to "one shot - one kill" sniping. NExt leasson is to forget about that and go do it the fun way... assault sniping. Go use the nice search button to learn how to do that.
