I've seen it on every server I've been to, if not at a 90% high of the time that I read "Respect all players" or "Do not act the fool." Yet I've had some strange encounters with hypocracy if I've ever been in one. I'll admit, I've been kicked out of servers for unintentional TK's but servers have autopunish/kick settings if a certain TK limit was reached and I can't say that I'm sorry for trying to be a good teamplayer but happen to find a group of morons who run in AFTER I threw a grenade when they were only seconds behind me watching me throw a grenade, as if they couldn't also hear "Frag out!" being yelled as I tossed some in.
What I'm trying to get at here is that is there any respect in Battlefield 2 at all? Seems like the only people who are respected are these immensely point calculated BF2 players such as Volx and Firestorm, even Blazin.uk fit in there at some point as well as any other guy (All hands down for Bushviper, that guy is KING!)
Anyway, being kicked/banned bothers me because I know most of them were undeserved, if not all of them. The times I was forcefully kicked, like I said, autopunish/kick settings on a server for unintentional kills but the other times have been utterly moronic; such as a time I was in a Gulf of Oman server flying an SU-34 doing bombing runs to keep enemy vehicles and infantry grounded from mobilizing to any other flags that were going to be captured while my other teammates would capture flags on the opposite end, I figured I was doing a good job and formulating myself as a worthy teamplayer and that's when I noticed the enemy commander artillery kills. A second later I bombed a flag and the enemy commander, who was in an APC, was killed by my bombs. Not more than a second later I was kicked out for "ATTACKING DEFENSELESS PLAYERS".
I'm not one to try and complain about anything here but I've noticed that most of the times I've been kicked out of a server was because I've been apparently blamed for killing too many people, 'whoring' a certain vehicle when in reality I had been only using it once, NEVER dying and doing a DAMN good job! I'm sure that's happened to alot of us, if not most of us undeserving of such a 'crime' committed. But what exactly makes a player respected? I really believe myself as a worthy team player, player at most though a little backup wouldn't hurt every now and then.
I never bunnyhop.
I STILL have no idea what dolphin diving is.
I suck (but try) with jets.
You'll barely next to never find me in a helicopter.
I only grab tanks when I know no one is using them only to help reinforce & capture flags necessary.
I really feel that my actions as a Battlefield 2 player are practically next to saintly and that's saying that with as much modesty as that boastful comment could be. I wish I had witnesses to account for my actions though because I'm afraid of only the worst comments to come onto me from this post. Again, I'm not here to complain though the result may seem as such, my intent is not. I've just summed up a long thoughtful process of message to really ask one question through multiple standpoints.
=====
What makes a respectable Battlefield 2 player:
His ability to destroy everything and ANYTHING in a jet?
His ability to solo attack chopper?
His uncanny decision to grab the armor at ANY chance he can leaving others immobilized?
His menial decision to go medic and only medic, for revives and heals alone?
His zealous thumb striking against the spacebar as he hops, hops and hops?
The One who hits CTRL over an enemy's disposed body?
Or perhaps it's something else we close to never see? Teamwork.
Rather...
Is a respectable Battlefield 2 player one who tries his hardest, knowing he'll be the only guy at a flag for capture?
He who honks hoping the teammate will join in premise that they both will go capture a flag in benefit of the team?

I suppose anyone could say I should just shut up and play the game, become better at whatever I'm sucking at or that I could stop playing the game all together but the fact of the matter is that I love the game, just not the atmosphere I'm surrounded by, a lack of respect and always in fear that anything I do might cause me to get banned or kicked from a server, yet as I play it also feels like an adventure for me, in hopes someone would recognize my ability as I hope to look for recognition in others as RESPECTABLE team players, or players all together.
So besides BF2 being a constant question for me that "Respect exists." Are you one of those respectable players?

Decided to use this thread as a place to keep note of the servers I'm banned from, I'm pretty sure in SOME way and form, my respects are known infamously in these servers:
Aug, 15, 2006.SG-3 (A) Ranked ip 72.36.171.53 |Reason: Attacking 'defenseless' APCs trying to capture flags.
Aug. 16, 2006.THE .BAD. SERVER ip: down at the moment. |Reason: "AARDCORE U HACKER! UR MOVING TOO FAST FOR US!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH YOUR HAXX!!"
