Improvements I would like to see...

The improvements that I am thinking of,  is sort of geared towards realism,  but also balance. 

Maps & Buildings:

Snow terrain based maps. 

Ability to have 128 player maps,  and in those maps have 2 countries vs 1 or vs 2 other countries.

They should add a city map,  not like karkand,  but like a "downtown / metrapolis" map,  with skyscrapers,  and freeways. 

Add an armory perhaps?  I remember those in delta force.  Ability to change weapons in game.  Cause sometimes you run out of ammo,  and call for support and you have to pick up weapons kits and change selection on the amount of ammo you carry...etc.  Armories could be destroyed by C4 by enemy forces..just like UAV trailers...but cant be used by enemy forces.

Vehicles: (im gonna get flamed by this part the most)

I think they should change the hit points for transport vehicles like the Hummer to virtualy  hit,  has 3 bars left for health. Like 95% damage.

Change helicopters hit points so if it is hit by a SRAW / EYRX...helicopter spins out of pilots control..but not exploding....giving pilots and passangers ability to bail.

Non ability to capture / use enemy vehicles except ground transport.  (debateable)

Ability to enter a vehicle should be done sort of the way in GTA San Andreas.  Like actually opening the door.  And by rolling when you bail out of a fast moving vehicles.   

Ability to shoot drivers through glass windows?  Is this possible though?

Ability to use hijack civilian vehicles?  Like buses,  and vans? 


Class:

I would like to see the ability to change the color of your ghille suit.

I think adding a female character is not a bad idea? 
I think a female special forces would be pretty cool,  and have the ability to dual weild submachine guns.  Dunno.  I would put that into the special forces catagory. 

Ability to change your character's face instead of the generic faces. 

Need to create a restricted pilot class.  If you want to fly a plane,  you have to receive an award in a training section in singleplayer,  to be able to fly a plane and land a helicopter.  That could prevent some new players from hijacking a plane and crashing it 2 minutes later. 


Weapons:

Weapons are pretty good in BF2, but it doesnt make sense...like how would the Chinese or MEC have the Barrett? 

They should add the H&K PSG-1 for the USMC sniper.

Ability to choose out a layout for sidearms and ability to choose maximum ammo and gear.

For example for Assault.  Choose to get 2 smoke gernades,  while sacrificing 1 M203 gernade.

But to limit abuse (for example assault)  can carry a maximum amount of M203 gernades.  Like 4,  I dont want to see something like people trading all their bullets for the M16 to carry 20 M203 gernades.

Maybe the AT-4 should be added in for the Anti-Tank?  Non guided antitank missile?

Ability to remove the silencer and readd the silencer for pistols. 

Commander should be able to get crazy .45 revolvers..hehe.

More weapons and vehicles would make BF2 a lot more interesting.

It's in game already.. meet my friend, the M95.

That takes away from the entire point of the battlefield series of being able to use anything on the field to finish your objective. Why not require the same for tanks, jeeps, scooters, jet skis?

Does the USMC field the PSG-1?

Only if you get the ability to miss everything on the map except the sky. Accuracy would be shit poor. Think how accurate the SMGs are now. Now halve that, at least.

dude first of all the improvements take it too far, you could make a whole bloody new game with those improvements. second the MEC and the Chinese have the barret because it is an unlock and it would be chaos if every army you played for had a different unlock and just stupid... thats the whole point of an unlock it gives an advantage over all the choices for sniper.

third, the psg-1... not a US sniper also how would you integrate that as the USMC already has a sniper and an unlock. (would be unfair if USMC had two sniper guns) the psg-1 would cause major complaints as it is pathetic compared to the m24.

Because I hear all the time how people complain "n00b" pilots who cant fly for shit.  All the time I see like 5 guys waiting for one plane.  I just think if you really want to help out your team,  learn to fly.  It's not often you hear people complain of bad drivers...most people know how to drive a vehicle.

What I'd like to see is a wat to restrict what the commanders can do, if you apply to be the commander, then command damit, don't go fly a plane/heli. or drive a tank/apc. you shopuld be commanding and that's it.
What I'd like to see in the next patch would a limitation of what you can do, wanna drive, then he's your Humvee/ FAV type vehicles.
The onlt reason this really pisses me off, is I'cve gotten nearly the same response from 2 different commanders Request: I need supplies..ect.." Answer: sorry I'm flying a jet / sorry I'm in a tank battle" anyway that's my 2 cents worth.

Ghost town gives you a decent feeling as to what this would be like.  But I guess you could change one of the settings to U.S. or European soil.

Not a bad idea, but I don't think there's really a need for it.  I personally never last long enough to run out of ammo

I like this idea, but with a variation.  Whenever a heli reaches those last few bars of health, when a vehicle is normally "on fire" you then lose all piloting controls and start into a crash landing.  You're options are then to hope your engineer repairs it before you crash or bail.  Doesn't necessary have to be an Eryx.  I would up the dmg on the AT rockets against helis.  2 rockets should = death.

How about requiring enemy vehicles to be "hotwired".  Which basically means that once you get in it, it takes about 7-10 seconds before you're able to start driving.  Would give you that extra few seconds to spawn and keep the enemy from running off in your vehicle.

Nah, it's just an animation and would end up just looking funny.  And if you actually required somebody to be on the proper side of a vehicle to get in, it would just be annoying and hinder gameplay.

It is, but it's buggy and poorly designed.  I seem to have an easier time shooting down chopper pilots through the glass with the M95 than I do hitting a guy sitting atop the humvee with the same wep.  I think there's invisible models that are blocking the bullet paths or something.

I think that tanks should have a small window on them that gives the snipers some shot at the driver.  It's frustrating when I'm defending a flag against all infantry and even choppers, yet I can do absolutely nothing but stare against that tank rolling in.

ive mentioned that in one of my topics... people think its a bad idea, also it would be pretty damn hard to hit. thats what slits are meant to protect you from.

First of all,  I love BF2,  its a great game.  Some of the ideas that I proposed might not be clear. 

The PSG-1 probably was a dumb idea.  Dont get me wrong...I use the M24 all the time.  But I love the SVD in the game also.

I also agree with Galen1066.  They should limit what a commander does.

I love the hotwiring idea,  I think they really should implement that in the game.

What I ment to say with the Hummer comment,  is if is at 100% health,  and it is hit once by a SRAW /EYRX...it only has 3 bars of health and is on fire.

there is a non guided missle in SF.. the rpg.. there is a m95! read the text with the gun!  you can only carry 5 nades at a time and then when u run out u have to get new ones..and doing the GTA get in the car thing i to slow..if i want to get out really fast and he is taking like 5 minutes to get in.. then i am dead! so.. really play a other game..its good the way it is.. dont want to reply on your others things.. and the 128 players maps are cool.. but it is going to bring more problems because there are more players.. so more high pingers and more change of rubbish gameplay.. and why does a commander need a .45? he is commanding! so i like some of yur ideas like the female soldier.. but most are rubbish or allreadt excist.

Right on, why not have like a destroyable command post/tent or something, and the commander has to be inside it to command.  maybe its super armored w/guns etc.

I'd like to see Jets have to land and taxi to a hanger to get repaired and reloaded.  Just buzzing over the airfield seems way to easy to blow all ammo and zip back for more.

Playing AT, you can't just head to a spawn point to get healed and reloaded...you have to find a medic/support person or have the commander drop supplies on your location (I always love seeing that when I am in armor and don't see a friendly on the map...just head straight to the box and I usually find someone to kill).

Playing SF, you don't get more C4 by just running to a spawn point.  Snipers don't get more ammo or healed up.  Armor doesn't get repaired and reloaded by heading to a spawn point.  But aircraft can buzz over a field and get repaired and reloaded.  Doesn't seem right.

Granted, I don't play air because I can't fly for crap...but maybe making it a little harder may even things out a bit.  Good pilots know that they are virtually imune to ground attacks and can bomb with impunity most ground based units.  The ease of reload and repair just seems unbalanced to me.
