Improvements I would like to see...
The improvements that I am thinking of, is sort of geared towards realism, but also balance.
Maps & Buildings:
Snow terrain based maps.
Ability to have 128 player maps, and in those maps have 2 countries vs 1 or vs 2 other countries.
They should add a city map, not like karkand, but like a "downtown / metrapolis" map, with skyscrapers, and freeways.
Add an armory perhaps? I remember those in delta force. Ability to change weapons in game. Cause sometimes you run out of ammo, and call for support and you have to pick up weapons kits and change selection on the amount of ammo you carry...etc. Armories could be destroyed by C4 by enemy forces..just like UAV trailers...but cant be used by enemy forces.
Vehicles: (im gonna get flamed by this part the most)
I think they should change the hit points for transport vehicles like the Hummer to virtualy hit, has 3 bars left for health. Like 95% damage.
Change helicopters hit points so if it is hit by a SRAW / EYRX...helicopter spins out of pilots control..but not exploding....giving pilots and passangers ability to bail.
Non ability to capture / use enemy vehicles except ground transport. (debateable)
Ability to enter a vehicle should be done sort of the way in GTA San Andreas. Like actually opening the door. And by rolling when you bail out of a fast moving vehicles.
Ability to shoot drivers through glass windows? Is this possible though?
Ability to use hijack civilian vehicles? Like buses, and vans?
Class:
I would like to see the ability to change the color of your ghille suit.
I think adding a female character is not a bad idea?
I think a female special forces would be pretty cool, and have the ability to dual weild submachine guns. Dunno. I would put that into the special forces catagory.
Ability to change your character's face instead of the generic faces.
Need to create a restricted pilot class. If you want to fly a plane, you have to receive an award in a training section in singleplayer, to be able to fly a plane and land a helicopter. That could prevent some new players from hijacking a plane and crashing it 2 minutes later.
Weapons:
Weapons are pretty good in BF2, but it doesnt make sense...like how would the Chinese or MEC have the Barrett?
They should add the H&K PSG-1 for the USMC sniper.
Ability to choose out a layout for sidearms and ability to choose maximum ammo and gear.
For example for Assault. Choose to get 2 smoke gernades, while sacrificing 1 M203 gernade.
But to limit abuse (for example assault) can carry a maximum amount of M203 gernades. Like 4, I dont want to see something like people trading all their bullets for the M16 to carry 20 M203 gernades.
Maybe the AT-4 should be added in for the Anti-Tank? Non guided antitank missile?
Ability to remove the silencer and readd the silencer for pistols.
Commander should be able to get crazy .45 revolvers..hehe.
More weapons and vehicles would make BF2 a lot more interesting.
