just try dive bombing ur targerget and slowly start bombing from a more direct/horizontle run

I do that. I have rear view set to the right movement of the rubber hat switch on my joystick.
But my bombs always seem to land in front of the target or around it and I never get direct hits. I normally go to like 200 ft and drop down.

I can destroy a car or moveing car very easily. Its just destroying tanks isnt easy for me.,....i always gotta go back and reload to finish it off...and sometimes by then the f15 ends up finishing it off and m stuck with a damage assist

i divebomb or use my HUD and i almost always hit

I know im doing damage because my bombs always land extremely close to the tank or APC, and when i go back to reload and come back at them again I see them smokeing, its just getting those direct hits is what I wanna do....

just do the lookback thing that kilgoretrout suggested and you'll be able to do it in no time

if you can see where your bombs land, you'll be able to tell how far off you are, and compensate next time and such

If you're bombing while flying (relatively) straight, you will have to fly down after the first bomb to get both to hit the same spot. It's hard to explain, but just try it. I suggest practicing on the UAV site at the US base on Kubra Dam. Two bombs will destroy it, and it's a great way to practice the double bombing.

I find it easy to hit with my bombs... don't know what advice to give, except for practice practice practice. And yeah, what was mentioned with the rear view thingi... that helps too. Eventually, you will get a feel of it when to release the bombs. Just takes practice. Dive bombing is alright, but that wont help you to get that feel when to drop bombs when NOT diving. Practice both i guess. Get a friend of yours to help you on empty servers.... make him drive the tanks and you bomb him. And did you know that you can start single bombing immediately? If no, when you drop your bombs for the very first time, just switch to missiles quickly. You will only drop one if the timing is correct. Drop the other one and when you reload 2.... you will still have single bombing. The one you mentioned is also a good way to start single bombing.

Hmm, may i suggest you watch ccc||planewhores movie? He has some bomb runs in it that might be helpful.

^^^^^ the best way,  you will almost always get your target.  In fact i find myself useing guns more then bombs for APCs/AA vehicles and saving my bombs for infintry....this is also the best way to take out helis, dont let them know ur coming, just shower them with cannons, that way they dont hear lock and move.

I can't bomb for shit... it's annoying. Also I can't track a fighter or escape AA lock very often.....

Some things to remember....

bombing is just like sniping, something you cant do from the first time, practice makes perfect !!!!

go to single player and bomb away....

bombs fly diagonal (when flying horizontal..) so drop in front of your target, not above it....

when flying around allways remain in bomb mode, never switch to missiles, if you spot another jet, take your time to get on its tale, open up with mg, when he realizes what happens, switch to rockets, lock on, wait for him to fire his flares, then fire 2 or 3 rockets...... ( BOOM, you earned a kill.....)

bombers like f15 arent made for dive bombing, their large wingarea allows them to fly slow and drop bomb-carpets....  when you divebomb, you will drop all bombs in one place, when you fly slow and horizontal your bombs will follow eachoter close up, thus allowing you to even destroy a full health tank..., i had bomb runs with f15 where i could take out a tank , an apc, and an AA in only one bombing run......

practice with every plane, every jet acts different, large bombers fly slower, j10 make sharp angles, allowing aeffective divebombing, f35 can hover (ever tried to rape a base while hovering in your f35 ??? )

i dont know how others do it, but i allways drop my full load of bombs at once....
its often so tht you will hit infantry (doesnt show up on HUD) while trying to bomb a tank.....
one bomb at a time takes time, you might need to turn around and make a second run...
your jet is so fast, i dont mind it when i need to reload....


This is wht i think about when i fly, i don't say its the best way to learn bombing, i just say its my way....

If I can't dive bomb for some reason I do this:

If your first bomb is pretty dead on then this will work (for me at least). If the 1st is hitting good the 1st is over shooting, right before the 2nd is being dropped angle down a little bit. This will let the 2nd bomb hit closer to the 1st. I've seen this used by a few people with decent success.
