a GOOD lone sniper can cover more then 1 flag at once, keeping a number of flags secured isnt worth a single supply drop? sad
dont waste supplies on shitty snipers, i check their scores first. lots of kills with few or no deaths = supplies
Honestly, that's a good tip. Checking the scores is a great idea. One thing I noticed about snipers asking for supplies is that they don't use the supplies to replenish claymores/apm if they are at flag areas. Moving near the flag to position a few claymore/apm shouldn't be that difficult right?
Usually I'll check the rank, but I have never seen an officer as sniper, very rare in game, esp with BF2.

Snipers have uses in real war as a morale weapon. In a video-game they are useless. It is easy to find cover from a sniper covering a flag. You might stop noob infantry from capping, but thats it. Any experienced infantry or armor and they are capping it. Of course, if a good sniper has a view over a large battle going on, he can be quite usefull in picking off infantry in the chaos, tipping the balance of the battle in his teams favor. Also calling guys out as he kills others. But other then that, they can just pick off loners everyonce in awhile, which is rather useless.
That's a good observation, I remember the scene from Saving Pte Ryan where Vin Diesel got shot and the whole squad got pinned down for a great while. In game, they are not feared coz the commander can spot them out.
